This is our mini Little Bit. Small in size, mighty in heart. He demands strong leadership, honesty and respect and in return he will give you his trust.Little Bit will keep you on your toes and has to know what is going on all the time. (what's in your pockets??)
Stretch is a big gentle horse with a great affinity for people. His background was in the showring and is a master at the Western Pleasure discipline. Stretch has been in training for most of his early life and has embraced EAL where he is allowed to share his loving kindness and strength. Little people especially love him.
Everyone has a wise 'Toby Type' in their lives. He is the strong silent type, an integral part of the team. Toby loves attention and will stand for hours being groomed.
Miss Birchwater (Missy)Missy won her Register of Merit in halter as a two year old. It simply means she's a beauty. But looks aren't everything. Missy has been deaf since birth and has had to learn to overcome many challenges in her life. She shows us every day how to navigate the path of life with strength and courage.

I am the Owner/Operator of Love Laugh Learn Relationship Coaching and Equine Assisted Learning Centre where I offer individuals a unique approach to learning that is experiential in nature while utilizing horses. I bring 21 years of experience in horse ownership and natural horsemanship and I am trained and certified as a Equine Specialist and Facilitator through EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) and the Cartier Equine Assisted Learning Certification Program.
I am a Certified Professional Life and Relationship Coach (CPC) with the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC) and am equipped to address human development and co-facilitate the mental health needs of our participants through applications of EAL (Equine Assisted Learning) and/or EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy) with a licensed therapist. I have trained in Ontological Life Coaching perspective through the Newfield Coach Training Certification Program in partnership with the University of Calgary. Both programs are accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP).
I also provide stand alone Life/Relationship Coaching with a niche toward teens and family relationship dynamic's and women in transition with a focus on building healthy, positive relationships.
I believe in community engagement and I am active supporter of Victim Services for the Strathmore RCMP and am a fully trained first responder able to engage in crisis calls and intervene with victims of crime. I am a compassionate and loving individual with a high level of discernment. I love my horses and promote the benefit of the equine partnership in the process of healing and personal development through individual sessions or corporate workshops. My passion is people and horses and I am blessed to have the ability to share a healing balance of the Body, Mind, Spirit and Soul.
Alex Johnston - Equine Specialist
Hi, my name is Alexandra Johnston. I am a registered nurse and graduated from Athabasca University in 2007. My nursing career has taken me through rural emergency medicine, outpatient oncology, post-anesthetic recovery, palliative care, home care, and addictions. I am also a life long Horse trainer and rider, with a focus on natural horsemanship. I was drawn to the EAGALA model because I know first-hand the powerful healing Horses can bring. My focus as an EAGALA practitioner is addictions and eating disorders. I look forward to meeting with you!
Brenda Shorn - Equine Specialist
Hi, my name is Brenda and I am a Certified Equine Specialist. I have been involved in the horse industry for most of my life. As an owner and operator of a riding stables for many years I have had the opportunity to train horses and work with children and adults alike. I believe horses heal and nurture naturally. They are a passage to the human’s soul.
I also have over 20 years’ experience in the corporate world, from the mail room to the position of a Corporate Executive Assistant in a very large company. As such, I have been involved with many team building workshops myself and can speak to the effectiveness of our leadership and team building workshops or programs.
Heather McClelland - Mental Health Professional
Hi! I am a registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers and a qualified Recreation Therapist. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work with a specialty in clinical practice.
My knowledge, skills, experience, and credentials as a therapist span across many different areas. My Masters Degree in Social Work was completed at the University of Calgary. Along with my education, I have over 20 years experience working in the field of human services.
I have had many years experience working with persons from age one to ninety-one. My focus is to assist people who are struggling with relationship and family issues, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other aspects of mental health. I also help people deal with stress, grief, decision making and self esteem.
When not at the office I enjoy life as a small town girl. I love the outdoors, spending time with family, friends and riding horses! I like to read and travel. I also love to learn new things and I am constantly reading journals and books about therapy. I will walk with you on your journey to successfully realizing your goals!
Karen Huggins - Equine Specialist
Hi, my name is Karen and I am a Certified Equine Specialist. I have owned horses for most of my life. I have loved horses since I was very young and always believed they are one of the most magnificent animals on earth. They have the ability to bring out the best in us and heal the worst in us. Using horses for psychotherapy is a great way to heal, engage and care for people.
